Books, reading, learning – we take them all for granted. However for many children in Asia and Africa education is not a matter of course. The organization Room to Read promotes reading by publishing books in local languages and promotes education by assisting in the building of libraries and classrooms. Special support is also offered to girls, who would otherwise be unable to attend school.
The ETH-Bibliothek is conducting a Room to Read fundraiser from 2 to 23 April. Flyers and collection boxes can be found in our main and special libraries. Please give generously to this worthy cause!
