Adolf Hurwitz's mathematics diaries published online

Between 1882 and 1919, Adolf Hurwitz kept thirty-one diaries in which the professor of higher mathematics at ETH Zurich describes new mathematical findings, reports on the scientific exchange and drafts questions for doctoral and diploma theses. ETH-Bibliothek holds some of his personal scientific papers and has now fully digitalised the diaries, thanks to which the genesis of mathematical research can now be followed on the platform e-manuscripta.ch.
