e-manuscripta: Where geologists and philosophers meet

e-manuscripta (external link) is a new open access platform for significant source material in the fields of Swiss cultural history and history of science: on civil engineering and botany, by physicists and musicians, by Zwingli and Lavater.

Browse through more than 10,000 historical sources and download documents of your choice as PDF files. The range extends from manuscripts, autographs and letters, through music manuscripts and manuscript maps to scientific diaries and drawings. Escher von der Linth's extensive personal papers form one of the first focus areas.

e-manuscripta (external link) is a cooperation project run by Zentralbibliothek Zurich (external link), the ETH-Bibliothek Zurich und Basel University Library (external link). The three partners are continuously putting more documents online.
