4th Swiss Archive Day

On Saturday 3 November 2012, archives in Switzerland will be opening their doors to the public in an event subtitled "Human, All Too Human".

At ETH Zurich, the Archives and Private Collections, the Image Archive, Max Frisch Archive, Thomas Mann Archive and Archives of Contemporary History will be presenting selected documents from their holdings and providing an insight into their work.

We look forward to seeing you. Entrance is free, with no registration necessary.

    11.00–11.45: "Der Traum vom Fliegen" (The dream of flight):
    panel discussion on the subject of Swissair with former Swissair employees

    13.00–13.45: "Auf der Suche nach dem schwarzen Gold" (In search of the black gold):
    panel discussion with petroleum geologists Peter Burri, Martin Ziegler and Bernhard Gunzenhauer and the historian Monika Gisler on the subject of Swiss petroleum geologists around the world.

    14.00–14.45: "Mensch ist Mensch" (People are people):
    encounters with Max Frisch in conversation with Richard Dindo (documentary film-maker)

    15.00–15.45: "Thomas Mann privat" (The private Thomas Mann):
    Frido Mann reads from the book "Mein Nidden" ("My Nidden")
