The former chemistry building and colour research at ETH Zurich
As part of the European Heritage Days 2019, the protected former chemistry building of ETH Zurich (CAB for short) opens its doors and invites you to a colourful day.
This building, which was built in 1886, was a meeting place for leading architects and innovative researchers. The holdings of the collections and archives of ETH Zurich tell of this historically important place. Experts from the fields of architecture, preservation of historical monuments, materials research and photography will accompany you through this day. In the virtual tour, you will immerse yourself in the world of chemistry of that time.
What are the European Heritage Days?
The aim of the European Heritage Days is to arouse public interest in our cultural assets and their conservation. Every 2nd weekend in September, interested visitors are invited to guided tours, studio and excavation visits, excursions and many other events throughout Switzerland.
