G8 science ministers advocate open access for publications and research data

The science ministers from the G8 nations endorse free access to publicly funded scientific publications and research data.

On 12 June 2013 the science ministers from the G8 nations convened in London. In the declaration (external link) published subsequently, they endorse free access to publicly funded scientific publications and research data as a key contribution towards the acceleration of research and innovation.
