scientific and personal contact, in 1913, it came to a break, because Jung in
his work «Wandlungen und Symbole der Libido» published in 1912
viewed sexuality as just one of the possible forms of the expression of psychic
energy, in contrast to Freud, who regarded it as the central source of this
energy. |
1913 |
Nach sechs Jahren intensiven
wissenschaftlichen und persönlichen Kontaktes mit Freud kam es 1913 zum
Bruch zwischen den beiden, weil Jung in seiner 1912 veröffentlichten
Arbeit «Wandlungen und Symbole der Libido» die Sexualität
lediglich als eine der möglichen Ausdrucksformen der psychischen Energie
auffasste, im Gegensatz zu Freud, der sie als Zentralquelle dieser Energie
betrachtete. |

lectureship at the ETH where he was appointed honorary professor in 1935. All
the lectures he held until the end of his teaching work at the ETH in 1941 were
very well attended. |

1933 erhielt er einen Lehrauftrag an der
ETH Zürich, wo er 1935 zum Titularprofessor ernannt wurde. Alle seine
Vorlesungen, die er bis zum Ende seiner Lehrtätigkeit an der ETH im Jahre

doctorates by numerous universities, including the ETH Zurich in 1955. |

| He died on 6th June 1961 in
Küsnacht in the canton of Zurich. |
