Contrary view of the entry hall

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the physicist and Nobel Prize-winner Wolfgang Pauli, ETH Library organised an exhibit in the entry hall of ETH main building, that lasted from April 6 to May 6, 2000. With letters, documents, photographs and audio-visual media the life of this original personality and the genius scholar's work was presented to a broader public.

The exhibition «Wolfgang Pauli and Modern Physics» presents the most important stages in the life of the scientist Wolfgang Pauli along a chronological chart and explains his most significant contributions to theoretical physics. In brief digressions, the backgrounds are examined and Pauli's most important companions are introduced.

ETH library published a catalogue with contributions of the well-known specialists Charles Enz and Karl von Meyenn as well as of other prominent collegues of Pauli and a bigraphical sketch. The catalogue can be ordered at ETH library for the price of SFr. 35.- (all texts in english and german).
