Gneiss! Swiss stone in an architectural context

gta Archiv / ETH Zürich

Gneiss is one of the most important natural stones and building materials in Switzerland. Based on selected architectural examples – such as Tessiner Rustici, Zurich's Enge railway station, Parliament Square in Bern or Therme Vals – the exhibition showcases numerous material patterns and surface treatments for the various types of Swiss gneiss still available today.
