New collection on e-rara.ch
Rudolf Wolf, the first director of ETH Library, collected valuable old books that are extremely important for the history of science and even current research. Today, they form part of ETH Library's Rare Books Collection.
A selection of these books dating from the 15th to the 19th century has been digitized and is now available to the general public as a package in the collection "Rudolf Wolf's Personal Library" on the online platform e-rara.ch. They include titles by Claudius Ptolemaeus, Galileo Galilei, Otto Guericke and Johannes Hevelius.
Other works from Wolf's personal library are being identified systematically and constantly added to the collection.
