ORCID
The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) uniquely identifies scientific authors. The globally recognised ORCID allows you to link your publications with your ETH profile. This correctly and completely allocates your research results to you and to ETH Zurich.
Advantages of ORCID
When you connect your ORCID iD to your ETH profile, your ORCID is displayed in the ETH people search and used in additional ETH Zurich applications. Advantages:
- Research results are correctly allocated to the respective author and are therefore easier to find
- Simplifies the automatic transfer of publications on websites
- Simplifies identification of publications for academic reporting
Connect your ORCID iD with your ETH profile
Go to your ETH profile and click “Link ORCID iD” and either register with external pageORCID for free or log in to your account. Once you agree to the data transfer, your ORCID iD will be linked to your ETH profile and displayed in your public profile.
Link your ORCID iD to your publications
You can publish all of your publications in the Research Collection and link them with your ORCID iD. All you need to do is assign your ORCID iD to all your publications. Furthermore, you can also import new publications from your ORCID record into the Research Collection.
